Adventure Through Idaho’s Backcountry

Booking a ride with Sun Valley ATV Tours is more than just an ATV rental — it’s an opportunity to experience the rugged beauty, wide-open landscapes, and backcountry terrain that make the Wood River Valley so unique. From mountain canyons and rolling hills to remote trails and scenic overlooks, every tour offers a different perspective of Blaine County and the surrounding Idaho wilderness.

Your adventure begins before the ride even starts. Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for check-in, paperwork, helmet fitting, and a safety orientation. For our standard half-day tour, riders should arrive by 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM departure. This allows plenty of time to get everyone comfortable with the ATV and ready to hit the trail without cutting into ride time.

Many of our guests are first-time riders, and that’s completely okay. Before leaving, your guide will walk through ATV operation, trail etiquette, and safety procedures to make sure everyone feels confident and prepared. Our goal is to create an experience that is both exciting and approachable, whether you’re an experienced rider or trying ATV riding for the very first time.

Once the group is ready, your guide will lead you through carefully selected trails based on current weather, trail conditions, and rider experience levels. Depending on conditions, tours may explore areas such as Martin Canyon, Muldoon Canyon, Bell Mountain, Slaughterhouse Canyon, Quigley Canyon, Indian Creek, or Ohio Gulch. Each route offers its own unique scenery and terrain, giving riders access to parts of the Wood River Valley that many visitors never get to see.

Every tour includes helmet use and a boxed lunch, so all you need to bring is appropriate clothing and a sense of adventure. Riders are required to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves for safety and comfort on the trails.

At Sun Valley ATV Tours, our goal is simple: provide a safe, memorable, and uniquely Idaho experience that showcases the incredible scenery and backcountry terrain surrounding Sun Valley and the Wood River Valley.
